About Us
The Dr. Reuben Mason House Medicinal Garden is a University of Rhode Island (URI) Master Gardener Program demonstration project.
The Glocester Heritage Society has asked the URI Master Gardener Program to help in designing, researching, planting, maintaining and educating in the types of medical plants that would have been used at this historic country doctor’s house.
The mission of the URI Master Gardener Program is to educate citizens in environmentally sound horticulture practices through the dissemination of factual, science- based information.
Through our demonstration gardens and educational services, URI Master Gardeners connect the resources and knowledge base of the Land Grant University system to the people who need them.
